Our commitment
BREdge, a Bhavesh Patel CFP® initiative, is designed to help you maintain a private family financial record. We recognise that this may include highly sensitive personal, financial, health, identity, estate and digital-access information. This policy explains how that information is handled when you use BREdge.
Information we collect
Depending on what you choose to record, we may process:
- account details such as your name, email address and sign-in information;
- family-member, dependant and trusted-contact details;
- identity, financial, insurance, property, liability, employment and business records;
- health, estate-planning, nomination, digital-life and last-wishes information;
- documents and attachments you upload; and
- technical and activity information needed to secure and operate the service.
You decide what to enter. Please only add information you are authorised to record.
How we use information
We use information to provide your family record book, display reminders and readiness information, support authorised sharing and handover, maintain security, troubleshoot the service, and meet applicable legal obligations. We do not sell your personal information or use the contents of your record book for advertising.
Access and sharing
Your records are restricted to your household. People you invite may receive viewing or editing access according to the role you assign. You are responsible for choosing trusted people, reviewing their access and removing access when it is no longer appropriate.
Storage and security
We use access controls, encrypted connections and protected infrastructure intended to keep information secure. Sensitive values are masked in the interface until revealed. No system can guarantee absolute security, so use a strong unique password, protect your devices and avoid storing raw passwords when a recovery location will suffice.
Retention and deletion
Information is retained while your account or family record remains active and as reasonably necessary for security, dispute resolution and legal compliance. You may update or remove records within BREdge. Requests concerning account closure, access, correction or deletion can be made through the support channel provided with the service. Some limited records may be retained where required by law.
Service providers and international processing
Trusted technology providers may process information solely to host, secure and operate BREdge. Processing or storage may occur outside your country, subject to appropriate safeguards and applicable law.
Your choices and this policy
You may choose not to provide optional information, although some features may then be less useful. We may update this policy as BREdge develops or legal requirements change. Material changes will be identified by a revised date and, where appropriate, an in-service notice.
